What is a medical real model?
A medical real model is someone who receives an actual procedure or surgery at a clinic or hospital and allows their experience to be captured in photos and videos for promotional use. You do not need to be a professional model to apply—anyone can participate.
What kinds of treatments or surgeries are available?
The available procedures vary by hospital and recruitment notice, but generally include:
- Dermatology Treatments: Fillers, Botox, skin care, lifting, skin boosters, etc.
- Plastic Surgery: Eye, nose, facial contouring, lifting, liposuction, breast surgery, etc.
- Dentistry: Implants, laminates, scaling, etc.
- Gynecology: Labiaplasty, incontinence surgery, gynecological checkups, etc.
- Ophthalmology: Eye exams, LASIK/LASEK surgery
The final procedure is determined after consultation based on the hospital’s recruitment guidelines.
Is the procedure completely free?
Yes, if selected as a real model, the procedure or surgery is either fully covered or partially covered by the hospital. However, some additional costs such as materials, medication, anesthesia, or aftercare may be required depending on the hospital, so please confirm in advance.
What are the responsibilities of a selected model?
- Pre- and post-treatment photo/video shooting
- Writing a review or participating in an interview
- Agreeing to have content used in hospital’s official SNS, website, YouTube, and advertisements
Details of exposure and usage will be outlined in the consent form, and image rights agreement is mandatory.
When and how long is the filming?
Filming may take place on the day of the procedure and again during follow-up visits.
There are two types of filming: by the hospital or self-recorded.
The schedule will be arranged in consultation with the hospital.
What if there are side effects or issues after the procedure?
All procedures and surgeries come with individual risks. The hospital will provide sufficient explanation and obtain informed consent in advance. Aftercare will be provided according to the hospital’s guidelines.
Note: The hospital and NEUME are both enrolled in medical insurance for foreign patient complications. However, issues caused by the patient’s own negligence or failure to follow instructions are not covered.
