A red spot on the face usually clears in one or two sessions.
The laser is absorbed by the red pigment inside a vessel, and the heat seals only that vessel shut so it disappears, while surrounding skin is barely affected. It is used on red spots, capillaries on the nose and cheeks, and leg vessels. Wavelength and power are set to the thickness and depth of the vessel.
It takes one to five sessions at two to six week intervals. Small red spots on the face clear in one or two, while thick vessels are split across sessions since removing them all at once can leave a bigger mark. The wavelength and power needed vary with vessel size and depth, and so does the count.
