Suits those whose under-eye shadow deepens once morning puffiness settles.
There are two main reasons the under-eye looks dark: a hollow that casts a shadow, and pigment. When a hollow is the cause, filling it with a small amount of hyaluronic acid in the shallow layer removes the shadow. The skin here is very thin, so the product and the depth largely decide the result, and overfilling can leave puffiness or a bluish show-through.
It usually lasts six to twelve months and is absorbed gradually. Under the eye there is no large movement from chewing or speaking, so it lasts longer than elsewhere. Duration depends on the product and the volume placed, and the shallower and smaller the placement, the slower the absorption.
