An alternative for pores and scars when ablative lasers feel heavy.
Smaller particles than the volume version are placed in the shallow skin. The hyaluronic acid adds thickness immediately, and as the particles dissolve they prompt collagen so the base of depressed pores and scars gradually rises. Unlike lasers that ablate the surface, this fills from below, so recovery tends to be short.
It is done in three sessions at four-week intervals. Change shows from three to four days and is clearest at four weeks, because the hyaluronic acid creates thickness first and the collagen formed as the particles dissolve follows. Scar floors rise a little more with each session.
