It takes about six to eight sessions at four to eight week intervals. The laser only responds to hairs currently growing and hairs grow on different cycles, so bundling areas does not reduce the session count. Regrowth visibly drops from the third to fifth session, and each area responds at its own pace.

Hair becomes finer and regrowth drops greatly, but it is not completely permanent. Even when the laser damages the root structure, some survive and become active again over time. Regrowth speed differs by area, so after finishing the course many people top up only the areas that need it.

It stings about as much as a snapped rubber band, and cooling runs alongside, so it is tolerable. What you feel differs by area, though — the bikini line and face are more sensitive. Confirm the included areas and session count in advance, and allow plenty of time, as one session runs long.
